Anyone who has done any research on affiliate marketing will no doubt be familiar with the rosy picture painted by those wishing to lead you to the road of riches via their "one-and-only" training program, course, affiliate marketing tool, or affiliate program.

Grand claims of incredible wealth potential with seemingly little effort spring out at you from all directions. As a newcomer its difficult to sift fact from fiction with the often ambiguous language used to mislead the unsuspecting.

There is no doubt that there are many ordinary people who have made extra ordinary incomes from online affiliate programs  Some have even succeeded from scratch with little or no funds. But for the average individual success with affiliate marketing requires a great deal of knowledge, hard work and perseverance.

There is no secret formula for success. There is no single path to success. There are many ways of getting there. Some strategies are more likely to succeed than others just as some personality types are more likely to succeed than others.
